Back to the Grind (insomniac edition)
Well, yeah, vacation's over. It's been back to work this week; I felt like I forgot how to do things when I slunk in dejected on Monday but it only took a few calls to shake off the rust. Anyways, I did everything on my checklist that I wanted to do over the last two weeks -- most importantly of those things being to be responsible for doing as little as possible -- and now I'm refreshed. Which is kind of cool since after this week and the short week coming, there's another vacation again. Good way to bring in 20X5. The drawback to such a vacation is yes, I'm still up at the timestamp for this post. A few grumpy What else is up? Two presents left before all the holiday shopping is done. The Lil' Links and I finished the Zelda Four Swords quest. Massive amounts of WoW. A visit with Mom, who is having a tough time of things but is getting a little better each day. Oh -- the best part -- I went to go see the North show on Saturday night. Earlier that week Markus was kind enough to look at some stuff I'd written and it had impressed him enough to write music for it. That night Markus and Joe performed the song for an appreciative crowd. I can't fully describe to you that feeling; I'll try again another time when it ain't so damn late. Monday, December 06, 2004
Vacation
Yeah, so I've been on vacation since Thanksgiving, and I have another week to go. What have I been doing? Not much other than not going to work. Stay up late, sleep in, read books, watch football, play copious amounts of World of Warcraft, etc. Actually, I have 5 To-Do items: 1) Bust out my watercolors -- done as of today -- boy that sucked. 2) Work on figuring out my web hosting and moving stuff to the new domain -- not yet, maybe later this week 3) See Mom -- That's scheduled for Wednesday 4) Bowling -- scheduled 5) Christmas shopping -- 90% done, which is excellent So yeah, that's my vacation. It's nothing like the exploits of the world-traveling Julie, but I'll take what I can get. |
