Monkey Man: Mass Hysteria -- So there's really no monkey man with steel claws and the ability to change into a cat with glowing eyes?

I broke the law this morning.

I was driving up US-23 on may way to work, driving along in the right-hand lane, when I saw a car being loaded onto a tow truck on the shoulder. Just in front of said truck was a police officer, who pointed angrily at the left-hand lane as I drove by. Looking in my rear-view mirror, the officer seemed to not be pleased that I did not make an effort to get over into the other lane.

When I got to work, I confirmed my transgression -- just recently a law was passed making it a ticketable offense to not try to get over into the lane opposite that of an officer/people on the shoulder of the road. I'm pretty sure that this is the end of this episode, but it's not impossible for a ticket to be sent to me in the mail, especially if Johnny Law took the time to get my plate number and call the ticket in.

I guess I'm guilty. I don't feel horrible about it, since these people were way off the road, and the cop really didn't point at me until it was too late for me to do anything, but I will admit to not following the letter of the law. Book me, Dano!

Finally got a look at the 80-odd pictures I took in Vegas and am deciding to just retire my camera and let Jules run the show with the digital. Not that my camera is a piece of crap, it's just that I get too many blurred shots, crookedness, too dark or visible flash, etc with my stuff -- plus it cost about twenty bucks to get my stuff returned.

With perspective I now see why my folks love Vegas so much. I'm feeling a great need to get back there soon than five years from now, which was my pre-trip estimate. Money is always the issue, though, after talking with Allen about funds and buying houses and listening to what his planning and experiences entail.

Bonus factoid of the day: Rockwell (singer of "Somebody's Watching Me") is the son of Motown Records owner Berry Gordy -- it was the only way he'd actually gotten his record made as well as enough pull to get Michael Jackson on the track.

Did some more Geocaching this weekend -- makes just plain walking that much more fun. Gotta use this warm and good weather to get out, be active, get healthy.

OK, One more thing: the excellent Tom Tomorrow

Finally, Bourque now has it all

I'm thinking that we should go eat at the Dynasty Buffet (or the Nasty Buffet, as we've called it) tonight, but then I saw this and wonder which one would win.

    Hello, f*ckface

Back from Las Vegas where a great time was had by both Jules and I. I'm sure I'll write up a little travelogue about the trip eventually...

In terms of computer gaming, Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games are the latest craze, with EverQuest setting the pace. Here are two new products ready to launch soon. Even though I know which one is fake, I don't know which one is more ludicrous.
