Man, if you thought Statbuilder was fun, wait until you try Progress Quest.

    Get Your Voltr On

I have a new car -- a 2002 Explorer Sport, black and stylish. I think I'll call her the Nite Rida, in honor of H-Dog. The time was up on the Ranger's lease, and she served us well, but we really need a car with a little more passenger room for the future. Now that I actually bought the car I don't need to be so neurotic about keeping it in pristine condition. I'll get Jules to take some pix when the weather clears up.

    Games End on Rousing Note

I was sick most all the weekend, so I spent a lot of time on the couch watching Olympic coverage, and I have to admit that NBC learned a lot of lessons from their horrible Sydney coverage two years ago. I loved the hockey and short-track speed skating coverage -- the bobsled coverage was great as well, but it probably only came about because the American teams finally placed in the medals. I even enjoyed the figure skating (as I've told Jules on many an occasion, I don't care for any figure skating unless Olympic medals are on the line) as Sarah Hughes' performance was obviously flawless even to a neophyte like myself.

I watched the replay of the closing ceremonies last night and just about flipped when, after some jazz singer performed, here comes KISS! And Willie Nelson! And Bon Jovi! It was crazy and cool and a good cap of it all.

I've been sick all week, but I'm fighting it off now. I've just basically been sleeping and watching Olympics.

Back with more content when I'm more coherent.

    Weekend observations:

    1) I am Batman.

    2) Embrace of the Vampire is not a very good movie

    3) Final Fantasy X is probably the best PS2 game out there, or at least a close second with Grand Theft Auto III, which I will buy when it's less than 45 bucks.

    4) I have a lot of fun playing 3rd ed. Dungeons and Dragons

    5) I have a lot of fun playing Statbuilder. Try it, it's small and plays in a small window. Click like the wind!

I finally finished The Two Towers last night. I'd always gotten stuck in the early goings with the stuff in Rohan in all previous attempts. I know the whole story, but I'd never been able to bust through all three books.

I'm still working on Moby Dick, which I've started and given up on for at least fifteen years.

Holy crap! Looks like there will be another Another Mortal Kombat Movie if the actor playing Jax has any say.

Now this is a cool use of the web: LoopLabs. Get down with your bad self.

I feel very cool today, if only for the reason that I pointed out the awesomeness of Orisinal back on Monday, and the guys at Penny Arcade today have made a similar observation. Could it be that Gabe or Tycho read this site?

    HECK NO!

One of my coworkers told me that back in his youth, he arranged his album collection by "rock-hardness" -- so you'd get your Led Zeppelin and The Who on the far right, and then some Emerson Lake and Palmer on the left.

I felt lame because we just arrange by alphabetical order. Actually there's a bit more to it than that, since I alphabetize by Last Name or First Word of Band Name, while Julie just used the very first letter she saw on the CD case. Not that we have a billion discs, tho there's really no more room on our media rack.

Oh, and I finally got that Sport decal applied to my truck, so it's All Good, Girlfriend.

This one's just for the Julie

Orisinal has some really stylish flash games.
