*phew* It was getting close to the wire, but luckily the October AssClown of the Month got the job done with two days to spare!

Mike the Deadbeat -- the fantasy of anyone who's had to deal with either Comcast, Ameritech, or DTE Energy.

This Saturday I watched twelve straight hours of scary movies in AMC's Halloween marathon. That was a lot of time lying on the couch.

The rules system for the Buffy RPG uses the Unisystem for its game engine. This struck a note with me until I realized last night that it was the same engine used by All Flesh Must Be Eaten.

This weekend I managed to accomplish the following:

  • Finished a devious jigsaw puzzle that Jill gave me for my birthday

  • Finally won a game of Settlers after about a dozen tries

  • Watched both the Lions and Wolverines win their respective games

However, my fantasy football team took a horrible beating.

The other night I'd finished the Cadfael book I was reading and went to bed, fully expecting to move on to the new Laurell K. Hamilton book Julie brought home. I saw it on my bookshelf and made plans to start reading it Wednesday night.

I woke up, looked at the book on the shelf and briefly considered taking it to work before leaving for Arbor Lakes.

Then I came home to find that mere minutes before I'd shown up, my lovely wife swiped it off my bookshelf!

When she came home, I told her what had happened and she started yelling at me, but luckily I took The High Road!

    The End.

Ask and ye shall recieve! From Erik Rydholm, Executive Producer of PTI:

We had a preview special on October 17th, then went daily on October
22nd. October 17th was like giving birth to the baby. October 22nd was
like taking it home from the hospital. We're right.

Happy Birthday to Pardon the Interruption, which turns 1 today. (At least according to Wilbon on yesterday's show. The web page says Oct 22.)

Daler Mendhi is India's greatest pop star. Read his bio. Listen to Tunak Tunak Tun. You won't be disappointed.

I have fully recovered from my debilitating sickness!

Lately my time has been taken up with things like chores, grocery shopping, and the like; I have been playing a lot of Diablo II again as well as Grand Theft Auto 3 (in which I am stuck on finding 99 of 100 Hidden Packages). Today has been especially productive, dealing with the Ameritech guy in getting our phone line fixed as well as arranging for Ford to fix the flaking paint on my truck.

"Do Your Know Me?" Test Answer:
"To smack you over the back of the head."

Yes, I realize that taken out of context that seems insensitive, cruel and hurtful. I'm pretty sure maybe only one of those truly applies.

I don't often agree with Jim Rome, but when it comes to bashing Phil Jackson, he's right on the money.
