Specific artistic intent
As discussed in the previous section, we've made this instrument as flexible as possible so that a performer may tailor it to fit a specific artistic intent. Much in the same way anybody can get sound out of a piano though fewer people can make music with it, our instrument has been created to allow for an individual to practice and improve at it. It is possible for somebody to sit down and get it to make sound, but making music with it is significantly more complex and requires the deliberation and practice any musician must be willing to endure.
Instrument acceptance & Virtuoso players
It has been shown, though, that an instrument takes many years from it's introduction in order for it to not only gain acceptance but for people to start getting good at it. Anywhere from several generations to hundreds of years is the norm before virtuoso players start to emerge (if they do at all), and we anticipate the same in this case. Until virtuoso players do start to appear, an instrument will never gain acceptance as a performance tool inthe music world. This instrument is in its infancy, and as such has much development to undergo until it exists in its final form (if there is such a thing), ready to be used as a serious tool for creating and performing music.
