Want to get involved in the local community? Interested in learning more about conservation efforts and community development in Ann Arbor, the United States, and abroad? Want to meet new people? Looking to take on a leadership role?
ISV/UM-Ann Arbor is a new student organization at the University of Michigan geared toward the promotion of conservation and community development on a local, national, and international level. As an affiliate organization of International Student Volunteers, Inc. our goals are:
- to promote volunteerism (both conservation and community development)
- to inform students about the ISV organization and the opportunities it provides
- to act as a support group for those members who are interested in or are participating in the ISV summer program
- to share our experiences of traveling and volunteering abroad
We serve to provide our members with the opportunity to help our community and environment through a variety of volunteer opportunities, fundraisers, guest speakers and other social events. Whether you want to make a long term commitment or help out for a day there is something for everyone! Our members have served breakfast to the needy at St. Andrew's Breakfast Kitchen, removed invasive species from the Arboretum, as well as raised money to help the victims of the tsunami disaster.
ISV/UM-Ann Arbor welcomes you to join us and make a difference in your community today!
