The Family Village is an example of a Web site that attempts to catalog useful Internet information for families of patients with developmental disabilities. For example, if a patient was interested in Epilepsy, he could refer to the "library" in the Family Village. The library would then direct the patient to find specific information about epilepsy from a site such as the Epilepsy Foundation of America Web Site or the American Academy of Neurology Patient Information Guide . The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has also developed a nice gateway site to provide reliable patient-related Internet resources.
