Jingxuan Tang

President

Jingxuan (Jane) Tang is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Chemistry (Chemical Biology). Jane earned her B.S. in Chemistry (Biochemistry) from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Her research focuses on utilizing biophysical imaging techniques to investigate disease mechanisms in ALS/FTD neurodegenerative disorders. Outside of her academic roles, Jane enjoys playing the piano, painting, and traveling.

Yulu Peng

Co. President

Yulu is a Ph.D candidate in the Department of Climate and Space Science and Engineering. She graduated in 2023 from Boston University with Astronomy and Physics major. Yulu's research focuses on space weather impacts on the Earth. Specifically, she runs large numerical models to study the Earth's thermosphere-ionosphere-plasmasphere system under severe geomagnetic storms, aiming to understand their complex dynamics and prevent societal damages. Meanwhile, Yulu has general interests in technology and engineering innovations. She also enjoys watching movies.

Jarrett Wilson

Vice President of Operations

I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Biological Chemistry at the University of Michigan and currently serve as the Vice President of Operations for MGCC. I earned my undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from The Ohio State University and later worked as a research technician at the University of Chicago. My current research focuses on developing and optimizing a technology called RNP-MaP to uncover new RNA–protein interactions. Outside of the lab, I enjoy running, biking, playing basketball, and baking.

Mustafa Mirza

Vice President of External Relations

Mustafa is a Master of Science in Information student specializing in User-Centered Product Development. He earned his B.S. in Computer Science from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). Previously, he worked as an Associate Product Manager at a leading MENA technology company in the automotive domain, where he contributed to dealer auction workflows, a one-click buy feature, affiliate lead funnels, and analytics dashboards. His interests center on product management, UX, and applied AI for data-informed decision making. Outside academics, Mustafa enjoys trekking, traveling, playing cricket, and fitness training.
