ME AND MORE ...
I am a seismologist by training. I studied seismology with Emile Okal at Northwestern University, and I am now a research fellow at the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, MI), working primarily with Zack Spica and Yihe Huang.
I get excited by learning more about the physics (magic?) behind
natural hazards. While like many of my fellow geophysicists I follow
the glued-to-my-computer stereotype, I have also done a fair bit of
field work: I enjoy the detective story aspect of tsunami field surveys!
