Sponsored by: Dental Materials
Description: Recently use of fibre-reinforced composites (FRC) for dental applications has increased. Use of FRC materials allows fixed partial dentures to be designed in a new tissue-saving and biomechanically optimized way. The anisotropic properties of FRCs, requirements foroptimum reinforcement and possible clinical applications will be discussed.
Learning Objectives:
Introduction to the use of fibers for various applications.
