Loc Thang
Graduate Student | Biomedical Engineering

My name is Loc Thang also known as wildthang. I am a first year
Graduate Student. I was born in Vietnam. In 1997, my family and I moved
to the United States. Since most of my life has been around ocean and
woods, I love the outdoor. I enjoy out door activities such as camping
and hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter. I like to listen to
classic rocks. I love The Who especially one of their most depressing
songs, Behind Blue Eyes. I also love to travel; I have been to 11
countries and four continents. This summer, I had a research internship
in Ghana and I traveled around in Europe. If you ask me what my
favorite subjects in school are I would say Biochemistry and
Mathematics. Therefore, I chose to major in Biomedical Engineering with
a concentration in Biochemical. In my spare time, I prefer to hang out
with my family and friends or sometimes just SLEEP. One of my favorite
quotes is “expect trouble as an inevitable part of life and repeat to
yourself the most comforting words of all: ‘This, too, Shall Pass!’”
