Matthew McKeown
Class of 2008 | Aerospace Engineering

Matt is a 5th year working on his joint Bachelors and Masters degrees
in Aerospace Engineering.  He is the co-founder of the organization
MASA (www.umich.edu/~mrocket) which gives engineers hands on experience in constructing aerospace vehicles. The group conducts ground rocket motor tests, rocket flight tests and participates in the Muskegon
Aerospace challenge outreach program.  After he graduates in 2008, Matt
will join SpaceX as a propulsion engineer in the quest for reducing the
cost of putting a payload into earth’s orbit. In his spare time, Matt
is on the club tennis team, which has regularly finished in the top ten
teams in the Nation at the spring National tournament.
