The Team

The University of Michigan Ballroom Dance Team was originally founded in the fall of 1997 to provide students with an opportunity to compete in intercollegiate ballroom dancing competitions. The team currently has around 200 active members.

The University of Michigan Ballroom Dance Team has been National Champions at the Ohio Star Ball (National Collegiate Championships) for 4 consecutive years: 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.

The University of Michigan Ballroom Dance Team won the International Team Match in 2001 and 2002 and the American Team Match in 2001, 2003 and 2004 at OSB.
