Updates---
Important Schedule Change:
We will be running ALL open events (novice, pre-champ, and champ) in the evening after Latin and before dinner. The approximate time for open events to begin is 5:00 pm. If you have any questions or concerns about this schedule change, please email ballroomcomp@umich.edu. Open events will be run in the following order:
Rhythm
Latin
Fun Dance (time for dancers to change costumes)
Smooth
Standard
Friday Night Dance Party!
Fall in love with dance at our Valentine's welcome party!
8-10pm in the Intramural Sports Building
Dress code:
Costumes will only be allowed in Open events (novice, pre-champ, champ).

This year will feature many improvements aimed to please new and returning competitors.
Some of these improvements and features of the competition are:
- Large practice area ideal for warm-up and cool-down
- Dressing rooms within sprint distance of the floor (for those quick costume changes)
- Crash space available for competitors both Friday and Saturday
- A great dancing atmosphere!
- There will be no showcase couple at our competition this year. After much deliberation, we decided not to have a showcase couple and run our competition much quicker and end earlier for your convenience. In conjunction with this, all finals will take place during the daytime (unlike the past, when they were held in the evening).
