Apply for Mortar Board

Thank you for your interest in the University of Michigan chapter of Mortar Board. Mortar Board is an active honor society that recognizes college seniors who have excelled in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership and Service. As a distinguished national organization with chapters at more than 200 universities, Mortar Board provides opportunities for continued leadership development, promotes service to college and universities, and encourages lifelong contributions to the global community.

The application for membership is now availble to U-M students graduating in the 2011-2012 academic year. Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• You must be a graduating senior during the 2012-2013 academic year.
• You must have a minimum GPA of 3.40; or be in the top 35% of your class.
• You must have significant involvement in employment, campus activities, and/or community service, and exemplify the three pillars that the national organization was founded upon: Leadership, Scholarship, and Service.

The application for the 2013-2014 academic year will open in soon.
