Lab of Geometry at Michigan LoG(M).

LoG(M) is a semester-long mathematics research and computing experience designed for qualified undergraduates at the University of Michigan. The projects within LoG(M) are guided by diverse faculty members and graduate students from the university's mathematics department. While the subjects of each project exhibit considerable diversity, they share a common thread of employing experimental methods, including visualization, computing, and examples. The exploration of open questions within contemporary mathematics research drives these projects. Researchers collaborate in teams comprising three or four undergraduates. Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU).

This program is designed to offer exceptional undergraduates the opportunity to engage in research under the guidance of experienced faculty members. Participants collaborate with a faculty mentor on a project of shared interest for eight weeks during the summer. Student selection for the program is based on research interests and mathematical expertise. the projects span a spectrum of mathematical modeling in the sciences and engineering, involve conducting computer simulation experiments, and address abstract and conceptual challenges tailored to the individual backgrounds and interests of both the student and the faculty member. You can find more details on the official website .
