The plot thickens a little, but not much. Things are still much as Locke and I suspected. Julian took Fiona's body from the spot where Ygg fell. He hellrode halfway to Amber and then mysteriously Trumped into a non-descript guest room in Castle Amber with the body. There have been reports of a ghost in the castle. Could this be Fiona's spirit?

Hellriding for Fiona had led us to Amber. When we arrived the castle guard was on alert. We were allowed into the castle and informed that a prisoner had escaped. Of course we knew it was Random who had been freed. We insisted to talk to Julian. Along the way we meet up with Connie as well as some guards who had been working the dungeon when Random had been rescued. I cast some healing spells and The Visions to see what had happened. The guards had been attack by someone cloaked in invisibility. It was good to know the Quinn also had the ability to cloak herself and others in an unexplained disappearance.

When Julian finally arrived Locke, direct as always, confronted him. Julian denied knowing anything about the subject. This infuriated Locke. I thought for a while that he might attack Julian right there in the castle, but he kept himself gathered. Julian also played it cool. He told us nothing.

We hoped that Llewella would be more forthcoming. She wouldn't take my Trump call (probably wise) so we located her by normal means. When we found her she was gazing into some kind of magical mirror. It was real crystal ball stuff. When she was done she knew who had broken Random out of the dungeons. Nice trick that. I'll have to ask how she detected their identities. Llewella claimed also not to know anything about Fiona's whereabouts. I have less reason to doubt her, since she hasn't been directly connected with the body-snatching. I told her to contact us if she found Fiona or her body.

Let me take a moment out here to point out something interesting. Julian and Llewella, and perhaps Caine and Gerard too, take the events at Ygg very lightly. They think Fiona and Bleys were foolish to devote such time and effort to a stupid tree. This could be a front. I suspected they might understand Ygg's importance and had a hand in its demise. If so, I will see that they pay.

It was becoming clear that Locke and I would have to find her on our own. Over the next few hours I cast the Visions on both entrances to the castle and both ends of Arden. Each time I found that Jullian had passed through without the body. Odd. The body was probably here, Julian had taken, and yet he had not had it with him. A puzzle and mystery that reeked of Trump. Trump had a way of creating a world of possibilities in what seemed like a closed door mystery. We went back to the last place we knew Julian had the body, Ygg. Here's where it got a little complicated. We could not bring pattern to mind. The bleeding of chaos into this realm has caused enough difference in our view of the Pattern from the one that prevails to cause terrible mental interferences. Of course the natives do not suffer from this. Locke suggested maybe Jade would help us. Indeed she did. After we explained the situation she brought Pattern to mind and tracked Julian. We found the shadow where Julian stopped his hellride. Once again I cast the Visions. I saw him Trump into a room in Amber. That part of the mystery was solve, but much lays ahead...
