Session 7
The investigation into Merlin's murder began, Quinn met Ghostwheel, and some of the
secrets of Brand's room were exposed.
Julie has put together a highly detailed
log of the
overall session while focusing on the activities of Jessica, Connie, and Quinn.

Scene 1 - Jade's Lab |

Jade pulls both Simon and Locke through to a lab. Simon tells Jade
they will not offer the use of the Jewel of Judgement, but discussion
continues anyhow. Simon suggests a full transfer of knowledge between
himself and Jade, but Jade finds this unnacceptable. She offers an
alternative, but Simon declines. Jade conjures drinks for everyone.
Simon and Locke do not drink any of the beverage. Simon tells Jade to
consider his offer and prepares to leave. They discuss how they will
contact eash other in the future. Jade claims to be difficult to contact
and is evasive about whether she has a Trump of Simon or not. Locke
delivers a vailed threat before
they return to Castle Amber.
Jessica brings Quinn up to speed about Jade's involvements in recent
events. Jessica asks if Connie if he
is a virgin. This embarrasses Connie. He doesn't answer.
Connie speculates on whether Simon is trying to seduce Jade
and whether Simon has met a grisley fate. Simon and Locke
arrive unharmed. Connie asks what they learned and concludes from
their answer that they did not get any useful information.
Locke explains that they will get more out of Jade later.
Jessica borrows Connie's Trump sketch of Jade from Simon.
Locke, Simon, and Connie leave to question Luke while Jessica Trumps
Jade.

Scene 4 - Castle Amber |

Quinn meets Ghostwheel. Ghostwheel claims to be Merlin's 'child'.
Quinn ask Ghostwheel if the body is really Merlin and Ghostwheel confirms it.
They also talk about Corwin's pattern and The shattered Trump of Merlin.

Locke kicks in the door to Corwin's room, which surprises Luke enough
to drop his tennis ball. Locke interrogates Luke and accuses him of
being in league with Jade. However, Luke points out that he has been
magically and Patternly confined by cuffs of Bleys' design and could not
have participated in recents events as Locke had claimed. Locke
acquiesced the point. Simon asks Luke to tell them something about Jade that
she wouldn't want them to know. Luke says that she's a lousy fuck.
He says that Jade is a good swordsman and a skilled magician. He adds that
she is obsessed and singleminded in her quest to restore Eric.
Martin Trumps Locke and explains the conditions by which a cryo-chamber can
be rented for Merlin's body. Martin will need a large amount of silicone and
is unwilling or unable to get it himself.
Connie leads everyone to out to help him explore Brand's room. On the way out
Simon and Locke pressure him to explain Luke's many attacks on Caine.
Connie claims it was a form of attempted suicide.

Scene 6 - Corwin's Room |

Quinn questions Luke about his past attempt on Merlin's life. Luke says
he was crazy and that Merlin and he made up.

Disregarding saftey, Simon opens the door and window shutters to Brand's
room. Locke examines Brand's library while Connie breaks into Brand's
desk. He finds a number of letters including a letter to an ex-love interest
and papers to have Corwin institutionalized. After ransacking the desk
Connie discovers a drawer with a false bottom from which he extracts 6 Trumps
cards of: Dworkin, Jasra, Luke, Sand, Delwin, and Dara. Jessica Trumps
Connie and joins the group. Simon and Jessica step into the hallway to
discuss Jade. Locke picks the lock on a chest at Connie request and finds a
sword inside. They examine it and Locke casually keeps hold of it. Connie
then trips a trap by tugging on a book labelled "Caveat". 3 arrows are fired
at him, but only one strikes him. Simon removes the arrow and heals Connie.
They find a book with a reference to line reading which speculates on the
connection between The Pattern, Lifeline, Deathline, Dreamline, Pastline and
Futureline. Simon borrows the Trump of Dworkin to ask about the reference to
the Dreamline, but does not contact Dworkin and has to leave a message.

Scene 8 - Temple of the Unicorn |

Quinn goes to the Temple of the Unicorn at the invitation of Elistan who
asks her to join the church. She does not give an answer at this time.

Jessica, Locke, and Simon split up and search Castle Amber for Quinn, but do
not locate her. Locke receives a Trump call from Connie who wants Werewindle
back. Locke agrees but cannot pass the sword through the Trump. He goes to
deliver the sword in person.

Scene 10 - Corwin's Room |

Luke scolds Connie for trashing Random's room. They talk about what Connie
found and they both go temporarily to Brands room. Connie realizes that
Locke still has Werewindle and Trumps Locke. They argue about whether the
sword should be presented to Random. Connie convinces Locke to give the
sword to Connie, but when Connie tries to take it he finds it will not
travel through the Trump. Locke arrives and delives the sword. Luke tries
to cut off the cuffs with Werewindle, but many sparks convince him not to make
a full attempt.
Fanfare brings everyone to the main meeting hall where the Chaos investigation
contingent has arrived. The group includes Gilva and Mandor.
Simon checks the gathered crowd for Jade in disguise, but doesn't find her. Random
presents Quinn as Corwin's representitive and daughter. This surprises the Chaosites.
They are then shown to their quaters. Random meets with the new Amberites to
get the status of their investigation. He is disappointed to find how little they've
learned.
Gerard is called in to verify the body is really Merlin. He searches the body and
finds a sherif's star, but not Frakir.
