Currently first hour, Wind Symphony is a class for the student who is serious about performing at a high level of excellence. Students are expected to take private lessons. Wind Symphony goes on tour each year, sometimes with Symphonic Band. There is an opportunity for international travel approx - imately every three years. Thus far, international destinations have been England / Wales (1994 & 1998) and Germany / Austria (2000).

Wind Symphony males wear tuxedos, tux shirts, cummerbunds and bow ties. Wind Symphony females need to make a blouse (or have one made). Their long black skirts and boleros are provided. Shoes and socks are black in color. Black tights are recommended for females.
