Hamsini Rao is a freshman from Chicago, Illinois planning to major in Neuroscience. She is planning to attend graduate school and pursue a career in scientific research. Hamsini has been dancing Bharatanatyam (Indian Classical Dance) for the past twelve years and is currently the Dance Chair for Michigan Sahana: Indian Classical Music and Dance. Hamsini occasionally goes through phases in which she pretends to be Princess Jasmine because she’s so awesome.

Nishma Valikodath is a freshman at the best university in the world (University of Michigan). She is pursuing a double major in Biopsychology, Cognition and Neuroscience and Spanish. She is one of the Logistics chairs for South Asian Awareness Network and a part of the Health Science Scholars Program. She enjoys running in her free time and playing volleyball. Nishma hopes to become a physician in the future and work in a field in pediatrics. P.S. writing in third person is so awkward.
