Some Ways to Pray for Unsaved People

  1. Praying for their spiritual blindness to be removed (2 Co 4:4)
    1. Blindness toward the Lord (Mat 16:17)
    2. Blindness toward sin (Jo 3:19)
      1. Toward the consequences of sin (Lu 15:17)
      2. Toward the deceitfulness of sin (He 11: 25; Ja 1: 14,15)
      3. Toward the futility of sin (I Jo 2:1517)
    3. Blindness toward their accountability (Lu 12:20)
    4. Blindness toward their "sand" foundation (Mat 7:247)
  2. Praying for their spiritual deafness to be healed (Mat 13:9,13)
  3. Praying for their hearts to be prepared (Mat 13:1823)
    1. "Roadside" hearts (hardened heart; enemy steals away word)
    2. "Rocky" hearts (no roots; affliction and persecution = "temporary" Christians)
    3. "Thorny" hearts (worry & the deceitfulness of riches choke out the Word)
    4. "Fertile" hearts (hears the Word and understands it; fruit producing)
    5. "Fallow" ground (once fertile ground now hardened  Hosea 10: 12)

    1. For Christians to give a clear presentation of the Gospel to them (Mat 9:38; Ro 10:14)
    2. For Christians to live as examples before them (2 Co 3:2,3)
    3. For Christians to love each other (Jo 13:34,35)
