Dear Chinese Colleagues:

It will be our great honor to welcome you to the University of Michigan for the 2011 Faculty Development Seminar!  We are so pleased that such a distinguished delegation will visit the Center for Research on Learning and Teaching (CRLT) to discuss better teaching and student learning. We are impressed that enhancing educational quality is an important priority in the new Strategic Plan for China 2010-2020, and we hope to be able to give you some new perspectives. We are looking forward to a productive exchange of information with you.

You can use this website to prepare for your visit to Michigan. On this site, you will find information about the itinerary, the UM people who will contribute to the program, and photos and data concerning the University, the town of Ann Arbor, and the State of Michigan.

We hope that you will read many of the articles on this website in advance of your visit, especially those translated into Chinese.

There will be presentations and discussions every day during your visit, including the weekend. We hope that you will schedule visits with friends and alumni on the evening of May 25, which we have set aside for that purpose.
