What is eeri?

The Earthquake Engineering Research Institute is a national, nonprofit, technical society of engineers, geoscientists, architects, planners, public officials, and social scientists. EERI members include researchers, practicing professionals, educators, government officials, and building code regulators.

What does the student chapter do?


Per the national organizatoin, EERI Student Chapters have been established to engage students in earthquake engineering, to provide context to earthquake engineering research and education, and to afford students networking opportunities with earthquake engineering professionals.

Our chapter focuses on hosting seminars related to earthquake engineering and participating in outreach activities for K-12 students as well as undergraduates. Our group also co-hosts an annual departmental technical symposium to give graduate students in all discplines of CEE the opportunity to present their work.
