SUPERNOVA
1987A NEUTRINO EVENTS
in
the
IMB
DETECTOR
On
23 February 1987 a pulse of 10^20 neutrinos hit the IMB detector.
Because
they interact so weakly only 8 of them left a trace.

below are computer reconstructions of those 8 events.

In
the table below, the "Energy" is that of the incoming
neutrino
and
the "Angle" is that of the electron shower with respect
to the neutrino direction from the supernova.
