These colder months are seeming a little bleak; not only in finance, unemployment, and charity, but (possibly in an order of lesser importance) male student fashion as well. Shapeless, drab winter attire has become the staple, and there seems to be fewer among us who are putting forth that hint of effort in stylishness. Why not use a little LEAD inspired fashionable awesomeness to inspire some holiday cheer? Dress warm, dress utilitarian...but seriously guys, dress to impress! D&G Fall '09
Frontline Fashion As in recent years, the warmth and class of military dress has proven pervasive in Men's fall/winter style. High fashion has approached this combat-necessitated classiness from all latitudes--from D&G's musketeer's jackets, to John Galliano's swashbuckling suits and Gareth Pugh's chainmail...but your typical naval pea-coat will work just fine. Careful on the fit though gents, this double breasted style is strict on size; too large and you'll look blobbish, too small and you'll pop buttons in short order. Tip: If you're looking for a little bit of oft-musty authenticity, head over to an army surplus outlet and browse the selection. You might be surprised by the variety of slightly worn boots and dilapidated-to-extra cool surplus naval jackets. Don't go overboard though, the enlisted man look is not necessarily in.
