Our organization aims to be the College of Engineering's premiere resource for consulting firms looking to hire passionate, top-quality engineers. We aim to do this in four main ways:
Mass Recruitment Events & Information Sessions
As a College of Engineering-affiliated organization, MECC can reserve appropriate facilities, arrange refreshments/catering, and distribute flyers, mass emails, and other advertising materials to the audience of your choice (seniors, juniors, MECC members, etc). We would love to do so for your organization!
MECC Resume Book
We compile resume books for our General Members and Core Members, and would be proud to pass them along!
Exclusive MECC-Core Networking Events
Our exclusive Core Membership is full of top-quality, hard-working, and passionate students who have displayed a strong potential for consulting. In exchange for their hard work, we like to offer them exclusive opportunities as well. We feel holding smaller, more intimate networking events for our core members is extremely beneficial for both students and recruiters, allowing them to interact in a less threatening and overwhelming environment, as larger-scale corporate networking/info sessions often are! We usually schedule these events just before a larger networking session, giving core members and recruiters a change to mingle before the masses arrive.
Professional Development Events/Workshops
MECC is always looking for ways to give back to its hard-working members by providing value-added professional development activities. In the past, we've held larger-scale events for our General Members and interested students from the College of Engineering, as well as smaller-scale activities with Core Members exclusively. Some examples are:
- Case Workshops
- Guest Speakers
- Resume Critiquing
- Themed Information Sessions (e.g. "Day in the Life of a Consultant")
- Interview Preparation Activities
