Asian/Pacific Islander American Heritage Month (or A/PIA Heritage Month) is officially recognized in May, but celebrated from mid-March to mid-April at the University of Michigan in order to coincide with the school year. UAAO recognizes A/PIA Heritage Month with a mixture of student organization events and teach-ins, aiming to celebrate a wide range of cultures and educate on significant issues.
