About the Project
This project is a joint effort by students and faculty within the Master of Urban and Regional Planning program at the University of Michigan and the National Disaster Preparedness Training Center (NDPTC) as a Capstone project for the Winter 2022 semester.
National Disaster Preparedness Training Center
The NDPTC at the University of Hawai'i Mānoa acts as the education branch as part of the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium (NDPC), a professional alliance of institutions and organizations guided under the FEMA framework. NDPTC employs an extensive series of training events dedicated to developing disaster preparedness and recovery efforts related to natural disasters in coastal communities. The organization has prioritized the development of tools and training modules for emergency managers that integrate emerging technologies to build and sustain resilient communities.
