Cyril is an applied math Ph.D. student working jointly with Prof. Anthony Bloch (in math) and Prof. Geva. He joined the Geva group in Fall 2024. He likes to utilize tools from analysis and differential geometry to study quantum control theory with particular emphasis on open quantum systems and the various ways in modeling quantum decoherence. Cyril grew up in Marietta, Georgia but was born in Pennsylvania after his parents immigrated from Liberia. He completed his undergraduate and master's here at the University of Michigan, obtaining a B.S. in Mathematics with a minor in Statistics and an M.S. in Applied and Interdisciplinary Mathematics.
