Biography of a Courageous Kitten
Catnap After Saving the World
Last updated on October 13,
1998
Charity Ann was born one of sextuplets in Ypsilanti Township,
Michigan, on Labor Day 1991. She moved to Pittsfield Township six weeks
later where she has been reared by a loving, single mother whom Charity has
taught everything she knows.
Charity first earned a reputation as the Comeback Kitten when
she raised her 26-ounce frame from a deceptively deep wastebasket. She
recuperated from a serious neck injury sustained
after a fierce battle with a closing refrigerator door. Despite a
considerable number of misfortunes, she usually lands on her feet.
Employed as a full-time member of the Neighborhood Watch, Charity has heroically saved her human from solictors three houses away. Her penchant for inwardly digesting newspapers led to her appointment as human counsel on every important issue
of the day, from U.S. intervention in Bosnia to her human's new shoes. Charity's persuasive skills led to amnesty for the unseen mouse who regurgitated on the new white carpet.
An early riser, Charity remains physically fit by chasing
flashlights and playing tag with her dear brother Christopher. Her
hobbies include bird-watching and listening to John Rutter's Requiem
as sung by Sue Davidsen. While she occasionally uses catnip,
she has never inhaled.
Charity plans to resign as Neighborhood Watch coordinator to have
her fur brushed and to devote full time to her Presidential campaign.
Addendum:
Charity Ann conceded the Presidential election to Socks on November 5,
1996 and ran to the basement to play. While she believes she has been
vindicated by subsequent events, she is maintaining a low profile until
she reads the polls.
