Scope:This course examines everyday phenomena and current technology in terms of physical concepts and laws. The subjects examined are wide ranging and the discussion focuses on discovering common underlying themes.

Grading:

Midterm=25%
Final=35%. Revised to 30% at the end of the term.
Lab reports and Quizzes = 20% to 25%. Revised to 15% on lab reports and 15% on quizzes at the end of the term.
Writing projects = 15% to 20%. Set to 15% at the end of the term.

Midterm Exam Date: Friday, Oct. 21, in class

Final Exam Date: Friday, Dec. 16, 7:30PM - 9:30PM

Lab worksheets, quizzes and writing projects will be collected on a due date and graded. No late work will be accepted. End-of-term added note: We ended up being extremely generous in accepting late work.
