paranoia - v e r s i o n 1 . 6 |
I am watching you...I know where you live and I will find you...and when I do I will...oh, you just want to know what the @#$%! Paranoia is?...ok...wait, did you hear something?...i think i heard something...
(((((((((( GENERAL INFO )))))))))) What the @#$%! is Paranoia?
A condition characterized by an abnormal tendancy to suspect and distrust others...oh yeah, it's also a computer program that encodes files so that others can't read them...have incriminating documents on your computer that others could read?...want to send compromising pictures to your friend with your work email but are afraid you are being watched?...see one too many horror movies as a child?...well, then you need Paranoia...Why Paranoia?
I know you have files on your computer that you don't want anyone else to see or read... well, what is stopping them?...If you don't have Paranoia, probably nothing...Paranoia encodes text files or any kind of file to make them unreadable...Don't worry, it also decodes the files too...sometimes...other times it completey erases the hard drive...(I'm joking)...you can encode your file with a Public Key, which means that anyone can decode the file with Paranoia, or, if you are super paranoid, you can encode your files with a private key, in which case, you or anyone who wants to decode the file will have to know the Key to decode it...What Can you Encode?
As far as I know, anything. I have tested it on: *.txt, *.doc, *.xls, *.jpg, *.gif, *.tif, and *.bmp files and it has worked perfectly. However, it takes a real long time to encode and decode a file that is 1 megabyte big which is not unusual for graphics files...expect 1-2 minutes per megabyte. And please, if you are going to delete the original, make you sure can decode the encoded one first. What is a Key?
The shiny metal thing you use to open doors. If you use a Private key, DON'T forget it... If you use a Public Key, anyone can decode your file with this program... Basically, the Key is the thing that tells Paranoia how to decode your file. How secure is it?
It's not, it's more insecure than me...well, maybe not that insecure... but if you're working for the government and looking for something to encode top secret documents, I wouldnt recommend this program...but if you are just some average paranoid person, this probably offers all the security you need...look at the coded files yourself and see if you think you can decode them...

This is just a sample text file to show you what files look like when they are coded with Paranoia. |

What does SendPLT+ do?
Im sorry, but I cannot answer that question at this time, next please. What does the "PLT" mean in SendPLT?
Finally, a relevant question...well, have you ever made a "Plot File?"...if you have, you may have noticed that the file extension was PLT as in PLOT...but, enough small talk, the PLT in SendPLT stands for People Like Tea...now I dont mean to offend anyone with that, I do realize there are a lot of people out there who dont like tea...myself being one of them. But seriously people, haven't you ever wanted to send a file directly to a printer right from Windows?...unless you do CADD like me then probably not...but that's what SendPLT+ is for, it allows you to send any file to your printer(s) with the click of a button, it will also let you schedule sending files to your printers, allow you to set a time to have your computer automatically shutdown, and launch plot file viewers...
