Information
Gifts
of Money
Gifts
of all sizes are important because maintaining the excellence and
accessibility of the Library’s collections is expensive.
A gift of $50 can purchase a book; an endowment of $1 million
can purchase books on a large subject or area of the world.
Gifts can be anonymous, or in honor of a person or event.
The Library supplies book plates to mark books purchased with
gifts, and can provide the donor with a list of books purchased with
special funds.
The Library also uses gifts to preserve books
which are deteriorating, and to enhance its technology and web-based
resources.

Gifts
of Books
The
Law Library is fortunate to have an excellent collection of basic
American state and federal material, and usually does not need gifts
of these books. Feel
free to inquire, however, because we may often be able to suggest
another library or other organization that could use law books you
no longer need.
