Who is eligible to use the Library?
Any
person conducting legal research may use the Law Library according
to the Library�s Access Policy.
Anyone may study in the Reading Room in the Legal Research
Building.

Library�s hours vary
throughout the year.

The
Reference Desk provides reference services for help with
research or cite-checking.

The
Reference Department provides online research guides
for various topics to help with
legal research in this Library and on the web.

The
Library provides a number of Library tours, including instructional
and architectural tours.

Can I check books out of this Library?
Books
cannot be charged out of the Library according to the Library�s
Circulation Policy, but can be charged to offices and carrels.

How can I get a carrel?
Anyone
may obtain a carrel
for use while conducting legal research in the Library.

How do I page a book from the closed Legal Research stacks?
Requests
for paging
materials from the closed
Legal Research stacks may be submitted at the Circulation Desk on
Sub-2.

How do I request an in-process pull, search for a book or recall
a book that is charged?
Requests
for in-process
pulls, searches, and recalls
of
materials may be submitted at the Circulation Desk on Sub-2.

How do I obtain material on course reserve?
Course
reserve material is located in the Circulation Desk area on
Sub-2.

How do I make copies?
Photocopy
machines are available
on Sub-1 and Sub-2.

How do I obtain microfiche copies?
The
Circulation Desk provides copies of microfiche
for patron use.

Where can I find books that have not yet been reshelved?
Books
are sorted in the Distribution Room before being reshelved by the
Circulation Department. This
room is located in the core area of S-2, near the Circulation Desk.
Patrons may look for unshelved books here.
14.
How can I get a book or article that the Library does not own?
The
Library tries to obtain materials it does not own for UM law
students and faculty through Interlibrary Loan (ILL).
15.
Does the Library offer a photocopying service?
The
Expedited Photocopy Service (EPS) is a fee-based copying service open to the public.
16.
Does the Library have a lost and found?
The
Library�s Lost and Found (link to info under �General Info�
and Library Info�) is located in the Administrative Office, S-180.

How do students obtain jobs in the Library?
UM
students may obtain applications and information about available
jobs in the Library by visiting the Administrative Office, S-180.
