Research
I graduated from the University of California Santa Cruz in June 2023 under the advice of Richard Montgomery with the thesis "Metric Lines in Metabelian Carnot Groups". I am interested in the interaction between geometry and the dynamics of mechanical systems. I work on non-integrable distributions from the point of view of sub-Riemannian geometry and non-holonomic mechanics. In particular, I focus on sub-Riemannian geodesics flow in Carnot groups, metric lines in Carnot groups, and the n-trailer system.
