TRIBUTES TO SIMON
An altar for Simon at the home of Rowan, Annette, and Steve Williams in Oakland, CA
Simon spent a lot of time with Rowan, Steve, and Annette, especially in the early months of 2004, when we traveled to San Francisco for treatment. We stayed in their home in Oakland several times, and Steve was with Simon and Mary when the first nasty, progressive tumor on Simon's jaw began to cause intense distress in April (remember the Chinese restaurant, Steve?). Rowan, who is 6 weeks older than Simon, assembled many objects and photos that remind the family of Simon. There are photos from great times with the Williams clan at Crystal Lake in Michigan. There are many kinds of things that Simon liked to play with, like Pokemon cards. Rowan said that Simon was the last person to build the Bionicle figures.
